What are you made of?
by Paul Boudreault
This morning I felt a lot of pressure from life, a pressure from unfortunate events over a few days that had made me feel lost from who I know I am. I won’t go into detail why, but let’s just say for the many reasons we often feel overwhelmed; work, personal relationships, financial, and so on.
As I sat buried beneath many negative emotions, I made a conscious decision to say “NO” to the negative, and be positive in the face adversity. I was reminded of a quote by Dr Wayne Dyer.
“When you squeeze an orange, orange juice comes out – because that’s what’s inside. When you are squeezed, what comes out is what is inside.”
So what’s inside you?
Sure we can all fake it, smile when we don’t really mean it, or stand tall when we really want to hide.
The question is what happens when life squeezes you? when your true self comes out, will you choose to be fearful our courageous? Will you be ugly, or beautiful?
The answer is your decision-you can choose to let your life continue on a negative path, or choose a positive one. Only you can decide what’s inside, so choose wisely.
